Bird List for Kununurra, Parry’s Lagoon & Wyndham June 16-17 2011

The Kununurra/Parry's Lagoon/Wyndham area is excellent for birds.
This is a list of birds seen for those that may be interested. We have lots of other unconfirmed sightings, some quite interesting, but were not confident enough to list them eg Black Bittern 

Wandering Whistling Duck, Magpie Goose, Radjah Shelduck (Burdekin Duck), Green Pygmy-goose, Little Grebe, Darter, Little Black Cormorant, Pied Cormorant, Little Pied Cormorant,

Jabiru, White-necked Heron, White-faced Heron, Pied Heron, Little Egret, Intermediate Egret, Great Egret, Nankeen Night Heron, Glossy Ibis, Straw-necked Ibis, White Ibis,

Black Kite, Whistling Kite, Brown Goshawk, Brown Falcon, Nankeen Kestrel,

Banded Landrail, Purple Swamphen, Coot, Bush Stone-curlew (heard only), Jacana, Pied Stilt, Spurwinged Plover, Australian Pratincole, Whiskered Tern,

Peaceful Dove, Bar-shouldered Dove, Crested Pigeon,

Red-tailed Black-cockatoo, Galah, Red-winged Parrot, Sulphur crested Cockatoo

Pheasant Coucal, Barking Owl (heard only), Blue-winged Kookaburra, Sacred Kingfisher, Red-backed Kingfisher, Rainbow Bird, Striated Pardalote,

Blue-faced Honeyeater, Yellow-throated Miner, Silver-crowned Friarbird, Yellow-tinted Honeyeater, Brown Honeyeater

Grey-crowned Babbler, Paperbark Flycatcher, Willie Wagtail, Black-faced Cuckoo-shrike, Varied Triller, White-breasted Woodswallow, Black-faced Woodswallow , Magpie-lark, Torresian Crow, Great Bowerbird,
